This hand-knit shawl is referred to as “Half a Kingdom”, which alludes to the half royal receiving shawl which we also sell. The very intricate pattern of holes is the same. The shawl can be used as a scarf for indoor and outdoor use in the winter or as a shawl over bare shoulders in the summer. In size medium the shawl is 145 cm (57 inches) long and is knit in 100% alpaca. This shawl is also available in XL. The shawls are hand-knit by women in Bolivia under Fair Trade conditions. The income from knitting can enable the women to create better living conditions for themselves and their families.
